Barrie Adleberg

Barrie is a creator and producer who examines social uses of technology through art— as our physical and virtual worlds become increasingly blurred. She has spent a decade working in children’s educational media as a TV and gaming content researcher, curriculum designer, producer, and writer. Her research has received National Science Foundation funding and is published in the ACM Digital Library and Kidscreen Magazine.

As a mixed-media artist, Barrie designs user-centered experiences that inspire human connection. She collaborates with multi-disciplinary producers to bring cross-cultural stories to life using emerging technologies. Barrie has designed programming for entertainment studios, museums and nonprofits. Partners include Netflix, Hasbro, Sesame Workshop, Refinery 29, Smithsonian Institution and more. She is currently an Associate and Interaction Designer at the Digital Storytelling Lab at Columbia University.
